Three AGV and AMR platforms in an industrial intralogistics environment.
ROBOTICS AND INTRALOGISTICS

Robotics - AGV & AMR Systems

Industrial computing platforms to guide, perceive and coordinate automated guided vehicles and autonomous mobile robots. We select compute, I/O, power and connectivity for the navigation method, sensors and operating environment.

Autonomous mobility requires an integrated architecture

In an AGV or AMR, the computing platform connects perception, navigation, control and fleet communication. Cameras, LiDAR, IMUs, encoders and field interfaces generate data streams with different latency, bandwidth and synchronisation requirements.

Mounting, vibration, temperature, battery power, controlled ignition and wireless coverage influence the selection. Safety and operating-zone assessment belong to the complete system and must be validated for each project.

How we select the platform for mobile robotics

We start with the perception–decision–action cycle, the sensors and the planned operation. The goal is to size the platform without assuming that the industrial computer, on its own, can certify the complete system.

  • Map navigation and sensors LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, encoders, CAN, serial, Ethernet and I/O determine interfaces and bandwidth.
  • Size compute and power SLAM, vision, inference and path planning determine CPU, GPU/NPU, memory, storage and power requirements.
  • Validate operation and continuity Power, vibration, temperature, connectivity, maintenance and lifecycle must be confirmed for each reference.
