Mobile operation changes selection criteria

Vehicles, rolling stock and mobile machinery combine variations in power, shock, vibration and space limits. These factors affect the chassis, fixing, storage and energy management.

Communication with peripherals and mobile networks must be dimensioned for each application. GNSS, cellular networks, Wi-Fi, CAN and serial ports can coexist, but require validation of coverage, antennas and cabling.

How we frame hardware for transport

The vehicle type, power, peripherals and applicable standards define the platform; no certification is assumed without validation of the selected model.

  • Characterize energy and ignition Voltage, transients, start-up and shutdown sequence guide the choice of power input.
  • Validate mounting and environment Space, vibration, temperature, attachment and maintenance access must be evaluated in the actual vehicle.
  • Confirm interfaces and compliance Communications, peripherals and industry standards are reference and configuration checked before final specification.
