M2-ATX is an intelligent ATX power supply for vehicles. Designed to provide power and control a motherboard's ON/OFF switch based on ignition status, M2-ATX is a wide-input (6-24V) ATX power supply capable of withstanding demanding engine cranks (down to 5.7V), as well as transient overvoltage conditions.
M2-ATX has 8 user-selectable, microcontroller-driven timing modes, allowing you to choose from up to 8 ignition/shutdown timing schemes. By removing all user-selectable jumpers, M2-ATX becomes a traditional PSU without ignition control and can be used in non-vehicle applications.
Even when your computer is completely OFF, a PC still consumes a few hundred milliwatts to monitor the PC's ON/OFF status. When the computer is in suspend/sleep mode, it consumes even more power because the RAM must remain powered at all times. Power consumption in suspend mode is a few watts. Regardless of the size of your battery, this consumption will eventually drain it in a matter of days.
While in deep sleep mode, M2-ATX continuously monitors your vehicle's battery voltage, preventing deep discharge by automatically shutting down until the battery returns to safe levels.
No more dead batteries or computer resets during engine cranks: multiple timing schemes, a compact form factor and a highly competitive price make M2-ATX a leading ATX vehicle power supply solution.
M2-ATX includes an ATX, HDD and Floppy cable harness, jumpers, Faston connectors and 2-pin cables for the motherboard ON/OFF switch. Simply connect it to your 12V car / boat / RV battery and power up your PC.
Operates from an 8V power input (6V for a short period of time)!
M2-ATX is form-factor compatible with all Morex cases and, for example, Travla C134/C150 enclosures.
M2-ATX also supports P4(M) and AMD systems.
Dimensions: 160 x 45 mm
Scope of supply:
- M2-ATX board
- ATX connection cable with drive power connectors

- AutoLatch-Function :
AutoLatch is active during the first 60s of PC operation (and only during the first 60 seconds). For example, if the ignition is switched ON and then immediately OFF, M1-ATX will latch the ignition in the ON position for the next 60 seconds, allowing the operating system to start fully. This prevents disk drive corruption or systems from remaining stuck in the ON position. After the first 60 seconds of system operation, the AutoLatch feature is disabled and the system shuts down as governed by the “Off-delay” setting.
- Additional timing schemes:
0001 10 minutes / 1 hour
1001 15 minutes / 2 hours
0101 1 hour / 1 hour 15 minutes
