The BOXER-8240AI embedded Edge AI system combines the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier with a rugged industrial design, allowing developers to deploy more Edge AI applications wherever they are needed.

At the heart of the BOXER-8240AI is the innovative and powerful NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier, featuring a Volta GPU with an impressive 512 CUDA cores and 64 Tensor cores and delivering AI processing speeds of up to 32 TOPS. The AGX Xavier also offers several power modes, allowing developers and users to tailor the system to their needs, whether for greater power efficiency or maximum performance. The BOXER-8240AI features an innovative fanless design that allows the Jetson AGX Xavier SoC to operate at ambient temperatures from -10°C to 55°C without performance loss, while keeping out dust and other contaminants.

The BOXER-8240AI is designed to combine AI, control and communication in a single platform solution. Its flexible range of I/O includes four PoE Gigabit Ethernet ports, each designed to deliver 1 Gbps speeds and power connected cameras while ensuring delay-free streaming for real-time video processing. The BOXER-8240AI also features a 40-pin I/O connector and dual COM RS-485 ports, as well as USB3.2 Gen 1 and USB2.0 Type A ports, two USB3.2 Gen 1 Type C ports, and audio line-in (mic) and audio line-out ports.

The BOXER-8240AI offers expandability through an M.2 2230 E-key slot, ideal for wireless communications such as Wi-Fi and enabling the BOXER-8240AI to be deployed as a powerful Edge Network Gateway. The BOXER-8240AI also provides fast, flexible storage through an M.2 2280 NVMe slot and SATA III (6.0 Gbps) storage, with easy installation through access panels on the bottom of the system.

With this combination of AI, control and communication, the BOXER-8240AI is suitable for virtually any application, whether handling a single demanding task such as AGV pathfinding or collision avoidance for smart factory robots, or running multiple AI inferences in parallel to provide wider coverage for intelligent security and crowd monitoring in compliance with health requirements during the ongoing pandemic.
