The Kvaser Ethercan HS is an Ethernet-to-CAN interface that enables remote access to CAN data from anywhere in the world by connecting to a PC via Ethernet. It features Power over Ethernet (PoE), eliminating the need for a separate power cable. Kvaser's Ethercan product line facilitates the implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) concept by transmitting data from CAN systems over corporate networks or WAN using the Kvaser CANlib API. Users can also connect through a REST API from web-enabled devices such as smartphones. It is a programmable interface suitable for advanced applications such as ECU reprogramming, enabling local processing of CAN messages and reducing WiFi and Ethernet latency.

• The Ethernet connection features auto-MDIX, automatically detecting and adapting to the Ethernet cable used.

• It can also receive power through CAN, allowing the Ethercan to be powered via devices such as the Kvaser DB9-Power Inlet.
• Small, lightweight plastic enclosure with galvanic isolation.
• Fully compatible with J1939, CANopen, NMEA 2000® and DeviceNet.
• Includes the Ethercan factory-reset device.
• This device allows the Ethercan IP address to be reset to its factory settings at the touch of a button.
• Supports Windows 7 or later.
